I wonder if the Tdi has the same turbo? Best friend had *two* go on his 2000
Golf. Second one killed the motor, which they refused to pay for. $9500, and
a *one* year warranty.

Their reason for refusal was finding sealant out of place on the ECU. This
was their entire case of "tampering", and made it past the required BBB
arbitration. Somehow, a chip unscrewed the shaft nut on the impeller of the
second turbo.
The first turbo was replaced after he told the dealer about the chip he had
at the time. (Wettenauer).

He's getting a lawyer.
