2. My Porsche brakes are where they started: on my Porsche.
3. I'd be very interested in seeing some info that shows larger
(huge) brakes are more than marginally safer on your car. I'm betting
that all you've achieved is a different brake "feel" and a lot more
fade resistance. Pretty negligible on the street, and I think you'd
be hard pressed to outbrake that car even on the track.

Thanks,
Paul

Its a mere matter of physics... changing from a stock brake to a Bira system
or other advanced braking system will DEFINATLY make a difference in braking
distance. For example, changing the stock G-60 dual calipers on the
5000tq/200tq to the bira system, the stock G-60 rotor is 276mm and the Bira
system one rotor (Audi A8 rotor with Boxster brakes) is 314mm. That is a
larger surface area and therefore better stopping power. I havent
personally installed Bira yet (key word there is yet), but I expect
excellent results when I do. The reason Porsche brakes are coveted are,
quite simply, they are among the best in the world. Whether they are on a
Porsche or any other car makes no difference.

There is more info on track testing and other tests of stock brakes vs Bira
at Bira's site. http://bira.org/info_main.html
