fascinating arrangement.  

Let me babble for a minute.... this is for an '89 90Q btw.

Now that i have "city lights" with my euros, I want to be able to run
the fogs with the parking light setting for atrocious conditions.  i
really like that setup on my coupe.  So i asked Alex for the schematic
of the fog lights & switch so i can rewire them.

here is how they work...

there is a "foglight" relay in the fusebox.  It is turned "on" by the
headlight switch (power from dimmer switch pin "too blurry to read")! 
All it does is switch X-relay power through fuse "too blurry to read" to
the foglight switch(es) which then handle the whole load to the lamps! 
Glad I relayed them...

So all I have to do is jump the relay socket with one of those cool A/T
lockout bypass thingies all the 5 speed cars come with and I'm golden. 
Well, sort of - then the fogs will work anytime the key is "on".  Close
enough for a lazy guy like me.
