Its not the bulbs in the 5k lights thats the problem.. its the reflectors.
Changing bulbs will have some effect but not nearly as much as going to a
Euro light.

I recently purchased an '88 5KCSTQ and the headlights are not very bright 
nor do they throw much light down the road (Although it is a lot better 
than the 84 4KQ I had a few years ago...)

I would love to get brighter lights but don't want to undertake what seems 
like the daunting task of rewiring the harness for a genuine HID upgrade.

I have seen ads on eBay for those "super bright" lights that claim not to 
fry your stock wiring harness.  Anyone have any luck with these types of 
lights?

Plan B:  I was at PepBoys the other day and saw a new Sylvania 9004 bulb 
that claimed to be "50% brighter" and the bulb itself had a bluish tint to 
it, although I didn't look at it long enough to determine if it had any 
exotic gasses in it.  Any word on this product?

Any recommendations and/or warnings greatly appreciated!
