I have also been having some fun while the list was down. First,
big empty parking lots have never had so much appeal as they do now!
WEEEEEEE! Some crappy pics, but you can almost make out the rims through
the cloud of snow.
Second, For some reason whenever I lock the front diffs, my car
pulls to the right very strongly. It doesn't seem to do it when they aren't
locked. Any suggestions?
Third, Heres a little story....
I now I'm 23 and this seems a little imaturish, but shutup, I enjoy
sledding! So one day we're supposed to go sledding on the slope of a small
dam. Coincidently underneath a sign that says "Stay Off Dam Slope", which
is funny in itself. I have never been to this location, so I waited in the
general vicinity of the area until the others arrived. They arrive and I do
a U-turn to meet up with them and use up the entire space of the road, and
part of what I think is the shoulder. WRONG! It wasn't the shoulder, but a
rather deep ditch that the snow plows had filled with snow, then scraped off
the top so that it was even with the road, appearring to be the shoulder.
DOH! Quattro only works when your tires touch something! I find out the
hard way that the saying is true... Quattro doesn't keep you from getting
stuck in snow. It just helps you get stuck in deeper snow. Of course, I
have been blabbing on and on about how great Quattro is ever since I bought
the car last spring, so now everybody seems to think this is ironic and they
need photographic evidence so that I couldn't deny it later. Great pics, if
someone has a sight I could upload them to for everybody to see.
ANYWAY... two days later, the loser who suggested it was such a
great idea to take pictures of me in my not so quattro ditch, calls me up
after driving his car into.... get this!.... a ditch. So I go out and
somebody had chains, so I hooked her up to the sub frame underneath my car
and pulled his car out of the ditch he "Thelma and Louise"d his car into.
And this is the story of the little quattro that could. Thank you. Also
great pics.
