I have been quoted the same price in the Toronto area.  About $900 a piece.
I got lucky and used the spare tire.  Now I just have to put a different
tire on my spare rim.  I was thinking of a non-directional tire for the
spare.  I find it kind of stupid that we got directional spare tires
anyways.  But regardless, maybe you could do the same.
