Coupe GT engine help? Please help!

I need help with my Coupe GT, I just purchased an extremely clean 1986 white 
coupe GT.  The car looks and runs great....but as i aproach 4900 to 5000 
rpms, the car misses and stumbles like the rev limiter on my 4KQ.  What 
could this be??  I have no idea, the engine will not go past 5000 rpms and 
limits my performance capabilities.  What coud it be, any ideas?  Thanks 
fellas, and my only other question is I dont know how to put rear disk on my 
car, what car should I get them off of and how do you do it?  Any of you 
experienced guys out there, let me know what to do.  I really appriciate it
