Tess-

6)  Your (brake) master cylinder is on the way out.  The valves are blocked
and it can't release "enough" pressure!!  Better replace/rebuild that
soon...eventually the brakes will start to lock solid.  Then you have to
shut the car off and wait until the pressure subsides to drive it
again.....then you get to do it all over again.
