Ah! But no! Now you reduce the overall diameter of the tire, reduce top end
speed, increase fuel consumption and increase speedo error. You're also
changing the final drive ratio, which has a benefit of slightly quicker
acceleration off the line. You also have increased the contact patch width
giving more play in the sidewall that becomes only slightly stiffer than the
stock tire.
So no, I don't think for my purposes the 50s would be better
JMHO
