How good is a 5kcstq ABS system

I think it depends on the car. I don't know about the newer Audi's, but my
dad's 2001 Chevy S10 make a whole lot of noise when the ABS activates, and
the pedal makes quite a scene too. Rode in a friends '99 Mercury Tracer the
other day, and also the same thing, big commotion whenever ABS came alive.

from what I understand, the latest generations of ABS are less apparent
- you don't hear the thing hammering away, don't feel the pulses in the
pedal. It just works. But who knows, maybe ours were like that when
new? Anyone remember?
