To clear things up, the actual specs of the car were much debated. It was
not a turbo. I only know of it as a 1984 model because that is what my
friend told me. He also told me it had the 136 horsepower engine. What I do
know is that the engine seemed to have a rather high compression ratio, as
it would ping with lower grade fuels (most midgrades too), but it certainly
was not a turbo.

I don't know much about the 5k series. This one was bought with a rough
paintjob and thus it had no badges. It could have been an S, or maybe it
wasn't. It could have been newer than it was as well. It had a good 298,000
Km on it; conversly, my '82 coupe has 198,000 KM so we all know mileage is
no indication of age.

The owner of the local Audi auto wrecker said it was a Euro model that had
likely been shipped to Canada by someone working overseas (armed forces
personnel), and since I know even less about foreign models, I was
completely stumped with this one.So, with that said, this could have been a
Euro 1C model, and that's as much as I could tell you. This all came before
I owned an Audi, so I really didn't bother finding out anything about it.

I could spout off all day about the specs of the 4k and Coupe series, but
when it comes to the 5k's, I couldn't tell you much. Especially that mystery
car my friend owned. We had that thing travelling much faster than 93 mph of
course, like I said earlier, we buried the speedo. So, yeah, we did cruise
at well over 100mph in that thing, and I'm very sure it was not a good idea
for that
car.
