Besides my bepoved Audis I own a WMB M6 which I purchased new in 1988. 
For me automobile nirvana arrived when the urQ and the M6 were side by 
side in my garage. Never one to leave well enough alone, Mr. Dinan and
Mr. Fahey sold me a few goodies just to raise the fun quotient. After
installing the "stuff" I called on my good friend (and resident NYSP 
trooper) and asked him if he wanted to go for a test ride. He agreed,
(foolishly) so we headed out to Rt. 17 in upstate NY "to see what it
would do". well....I can tell you that with the new rev. limit of 
7800rpm (thanks to Dinan) and the lost kittys (thanks to Fahey) if you
hit the rev limiter in all the gears the speedo reads 153 mph when you
shift into 5th gear......the expression on the face of your passenger, 
reads something else.

We passed a rolling radar, who was going east bound just before Roscoe 
exit, my passenger say "Oh s...". I replied "I guess we'll be getting 
off here and taking the back roads home eh?"  "Yep" sez he. It was the 
talk of the annual F Troop summer barbecue though. My friend asked him 
if he turned around after we went by? He said "For what"? German 
performance cars sure do make ya smile!!
