My moms Ford Aerostar (that's the tippy one) did 165 Km/h. It was
speed controlled by a mechanical centrifugal thingy in the rear diff. WHAT?
Old technology on a Ford? Never!
My moms Ford Windstar (that's the safety one) did 159 Km/h. It was
electronically fuel governed.
My Olds 88 coupe did 172 Km/h, electronically fuel governed.
My 89 Jetta 1.8L 16V did 185 Km/h before the Tranny went,
and 165 Km/h with the 1.8L turbo deisel tranny, but with faster accel.
Not enough HP to get it higher then that.
My 87 Audi 4K sedan does a sappy 165 Km/h. Again, not enough HP to
pass that.
