You might find some on this list who disagree.

But I'll speak in a giant generality here (flame suit on) by saying that in 
some cases, larger, heavier and longer (wheelbase?) cars are more stable at 
high speeds than lighter, shorter cars. (e.g. 5k vs. 4k)

Of course one could argue the opposite...don't confuse me with your 
"science!"
