propriety of rebadging

Normally I wouldn't pass comment on personal stuff like thinking a badge or 
lack there of will actually make your Audi go faster than a fully tweaked 
Morris Minor so please excuse the exception.

About two years ago I thought this list developed a policy that the only badges 
allowed on Audifan's member vehicles were:

a) stock to that particular vehicle unless sufficiently upgraded, or had

b) the Audifans Official badge (actually goes on your window so it won't harm 
your paint) which can be obtained from Bob Myers  rmyers at oak.total-web.net for 
a nominal fee and helps cover the costs of operating this list.

I believe the purpose of this was too easily identify other Audifan members as 
being honest and friendly folk unlike all those non-member Audi owners who show 
you the fist/finger/tire iron in response to your frantic waving.

BTW - the Audifans Official badge entitles the owner to make a public claim of 
no more than 15 additional hp and 10 heart thumping pounds of torque per badge. 
 So a very honest and cost efficient upgrade especially for those who are 
struggling to find sufficient power with the 2.7 tt engine.

Actually, I think Bob rmyers at oak.total-web.net might even have them on sale.
