White film on oil cap...

Ugh, will it ever end? 

I went to check the oil on the wife's A4 2.8 12v, and
to my dismay, I noticed a white film lightly coating
the oil filler cap. It was also seen in the general
area below the filler, though there was no evidence of
it on the dipstick. A quick check of the coolant was
inconclusive, shining my mini-maglite into the resivor
it looked murky, but not sure. 

What think the collective great Audi minds?
Headgasket? Could it possibly be Teflon? I found some
Teflon tape on the oil drain plug after the oil was
changed by someone other than my self..
