<< How can you truly appreciate the full impact of a V-12 Daytona unless you
can hear it sing the way Enzo designed it to? What a beautiful sound; never
 heard if never driven!

Enzo Ferrari hated street cars. He considered them useless. The only reason
he aided in the construction, design, and primarily, name of the Ferrari
roadcars was to fund the racing operations. So, in theory, the only way to
truly hear a Ferrari V-12's engine the way it was supposed to be heard was
through a racing car. Also, it should be noted that Enzo had no imput on the
famous 250, 2.953L V-12"Columbo" motor, which was used in the SWB, the Lusso,
the 250GTO and Testa Rossa, and then refined into the 330's and finally (in
4L form) the 365 GTB/4 and GTS/4, aka the Daytona. Incidentially, the
Daytona was nowhere near as fast as the rival car, already 2 years old - the
Lamborghini P400SV Miura.

Not that anyone is counting....
