If you look in the rear of the climate control section
of your Bentley, it details 10 "updates" to be made
that address know problems with this system.  One of
these repairs involves the connector you mentioned and
it's "Stephen" wire.  It needs it's own larger, single
wire connector set.  When I opened the round 4-way
(yellow) on my 85 5kt, it was all brown and melted
around the blue/black wire.  A new connector cured
that problem.  The blower motor probably has it's own
demons.  If it's the original (probably), then it's
brushes are shot.  There are about a billion posts in
the archives about it.
