The early 5ktqs had the single piston G54 calipers, as you said, with
the later cars having G60 dual piston calipers. The calipers are
interchangeable in that they bolt right on to the carrier, but you
need to replace the rotors as well- they are _not_ compatible. You're
better off rebuilding the G60s or getting a replacement set already
rebuilt.

There is absolutely no advantage to doing this, other than you get
less unsprung weight. The G54s are not enough brake for the 5ktq, IMHO.
