Okay listers- one more project that I'm contemplating.
Please bear with me. :-)
I know Huw Powell was able to make BMW lights work on
his CGT.
I've also seen BMW lights on a type 85, somewhere on the web.
Now I've seen a dual round kit for the type 89 CQ as well
as for the A4.
Has anyone seen a dual round setup for the CQ or A4 up close?
I've been trying to figure out a way to get E-code lights
in the 5ktq w/o going to the 100/200 E-code lights or the
quad light setup of the older cars. Would there be a problem
with covering the quad light setup w/ plexiglass? I know
it's not proper DOT spec, but E-code lights aren't anyway.
Blacking out the chrome surrounds of the quad light setup and
covering the whole assembly with a piece of plexiglass would
make the lights look a lot more modern and keep with the
aero shape of the car. It would also be rather unique, if it
could be done and look right.
I guess getting some Hella XLs or some other driving/fog
lights would be the much easier alternative, which I'll end
up doing most likely. But any thoughts or suggestions would
be welcomed.
