Flywheel and cruise control issues on 87.5 CGT

Hello all,

As many of you know, I performing a autobox to 5 speed conversion on my GT. I was wondering, is there any advantage to having the flywheel lightened before installing? If so, how much should be taken off, and how much does this usually cost at a machine shop?

My other concern regards my cruise control. I have noticed that sometimes, with my cruise switch in the "on" position, that my cruise control engages without me touching it. This is easily resolved by turning the switch off, but it concerns me, exspecially if someone else drives my car and they may not have as much sense as me to simply turn it off.
