Hello All,
I have decided to sell my QSW and the lot of parts I have acquired. I
am selling it, and my old Mazda, to make way for a new car. I will however
be keeping my VW Fox. The car has 129,000 miles on it and is in very good
shape inside and out. There is some rust on the passenger side doors and
hatch. The previous owner informed me that the air conditioning did not
work. Since it was heading towards Autumn, I did not bother with it
so
Also, the cruise control does not work. The rod from the diaphragm
was not connected. I also have not bothered with that. I have removed the
diaphragm unit (to ease working around the valve cover). The car has a set
of 14x6 Starburst (GTi) alloys in useable shape for snow tires. They work
but are not much to look at. Snow tires that will go with the car are old
185/60-14 Nokian Hakkapelliitas. The heater core is beginning to plug up,
and I have neither the time, inclination, nor HEAT in my garage to replace
it. Hmmm, perhaps if I had replaced that months ago
  The switch at the
e-brake handle sticks on (keeping the annoying brake light on
intermittently), although the e-brake works well. The O2 sensor light
stays on, I have tried resetting it at the box to no avail. The car has
returned 20 to 21 MPG consistently.
Work I have done to the car is as follows:
     New rear brake lines.
New (FAG & VW) brake hoses front and rear.
New (Ate) brake rotors and pads front and rear.
Remanufactured brake calipers front and rear.
     New (FAG) front wheel bearings.
     Remanufactured front CV axles.
New (Boge Automatic) rear shockswith boots and (KYB GR-2) front strut
inserts with bearings.
New (Beck/Arnley) outer tie rod ends.
New (VW) fuel accumulator to fuel tank hose.
New fuel return line from tank.
New (Bosch) air, (VW) oil (engine oil too), and (Wix) fuel filters.
New thermostat, (Wahler) thermal switch, and coolant tank cap (coolant
too).
Ignition tune-up - (Bosch) distributor cap, rotor, wire set, and +4
spark plugs.
     New valve cover gasket.
     New battery.
Front end alignment (performed by Dave's Automotive, Williston, Vermont).
New parts I have not installed:
     Timing belt and water pump.
     (Valeo) heater core.
Spare parts that may go with the car (from a 1988 QSW - 203,000 miles):
Engine and fuel system minus the throttle body.
     Electrical wiring loom.
Transmission, drive shaft, rear differential, and CV axles.
Dashboard, head liner (car had a sun roof), seats, misc. interior parts.
Cargo area panels and cargo cover.
Hood, right fender (blue), head lamp assemblies (right in good shape,
left without marker).
Glass - windshield, back glass with defroster, rear side and door glass.
     Power window motors with regulators.
Central locking vacuum pump and misc. other parts.
Front and rear windshield wiper motors.
     Power sunroof motor.
Front sub frame and control arms.
Rear trailing axle and sub frames.
Parts that are not going with the car:
     New snow tires.
     Instrument cluster.
     Strut assemblies.
Power mirrors - I would like to trade these for a good set of manual
remote units like on my QSW.
     Power steering rack, pump, etc

The car is located in Saint Albans, Vermont. I would take $3000.00 for
the car_ and_ parts, and would be willing to help the buyer move the car
and parts (I have a trailer and engine hoist) within reason. I would be
willing to leave the new snows on the car for the right offer, sell the car
without the parts, or sell some parts without the car, but would prefer to
sell the lot whole to empty my garage and storage unit. I have no pictures
as of yet, but am willing to take and send them to serious inquirers.
The best way to get hold of me is via e-mail. I check my home e-mail
every morning before leaving for work, and my work e-mail in the morning
and evening.
