Alternative headlights for the type 44

Huw and listers-
Any idea how I would do a surround for the light housings? The BMW
grilles go around the lights while the Audi grille does not, so I'd
either have to find a way to make a similar looking grille for around
the lights like the BMWs, or fabricate a fiberglass surround for the
lights. I guess this is not a really worthwhile project.

Any suggestions on driving lights other than Hella XLs (which are
huge)?

quad rounds would look cool in a type 44.  Shift around some junkyards
that have beemers in them, you might be able to find an almost ready to
go set of buckets that can be fitted to your car, with some ingenuity.
