The additive varieties are, IMO.  The first run with 'proper'
flushing oil always comes out tar-like, even when one of the additives
has been used.

It's what I use.  It certainly has viscosity, but it also doesn't
have the lubricating properties needed for the outside lane of the M1
or 5,000 miles running.
