Ditto on my '84 4KQ. Relay quit while running down the highway doing
about 65 MPH on a July 4th while I returning from a 150 mile trip. I was
on my way to pick up a lady friend to go watch the fireworks. Needless to
say I didn't get to see ANY form of fireworks that night!

LL - NY

BTW - Insult to injury. Being a major state highway, had to get the car
towed off the highway to the tune of $120. AND, had to walk 7 miles to
get to a phone to get the car towed. Ouch. To be fair, the shop couldn't
figure out the problem after diagnosing for about 2 hrs. Said, quite
literally, "we don't see 'em furrin jobs too much!". But, didn't charge
me either. That was fair (tho they did get $120 to tow 13 miles).
