Seat heater parts

Had a friends 5k in the shop several weeks ago to repair the seat heater.  I 
told her it shouldn't be too much of a project as I have fixed at least a 
dozen of them.  Before I took the seat out of the car I checked the 
continuity of the heater circuit in the seat and found it OK.  The circuit 
for the heater thermostat is open.  I put the car back together because I 
didn't want to disassemble the seat and find I couldn't fix it or couldn't 
get the parts to fix it although the problem could be a simple as a broken 
wire.  Any BTDTs?  Does anyone have an old seat heater with a good thermostat 
they want to part with?  Is the thermostat a standard Radio Shack or 
electronic parts store item?
