Maintaining cq center driveshaft?

Hi

Just heard, that some quattros need the center drive shaft maintenance
(to lube the joints), true?

Can anybody tell me how about the later ´91 20v cq:s, please. 
I´m still waiting for my manual (HP; remember me?). OK, I can remove  the 
ex pipe and the heat shield to check, but it´s now winter, cold and dark here :)

So, if someone is familiar with this, everything´s wellcomed.
