I posted a few years ago about the fix I found for the 5KS. I ran the
controller wires to a defrost switch which mounted very OEM like on the
center dash. What it basically does is reset the ISV (unplugs it and
plugs it back in) and the idle goes down to where it's supposed to be.
When the AC is on, just leave the idle high and compressor brings it down
to normal. I've been using the "manual idle deceleration" switch for
over 7 years now while I look for an idle controller for an '84 5KS 5spd
(look under "hens teeth" in the dictionary).
