Just about all Audi engines from the MAC11 onwards seem to have
'programmed overboost'.  Certainly both my 1988 ur-quattro and 1990
Type 44 do.

I've never seen an AAN with a distributor.  If it had a distributor,
it wouldn't be an AAN.  The differences between the single coil engine
and the coil-per-cylinder engine are HUGE in that area.

One thing the mechanics might note - crank locking tool #2084
doesn't work on an AAN.  The recess in the harmonic balancer is too
deep. BTDTNDIA.
