Sorry I can not assist you on that.
I would expect the medium hardness kit to be the best compromise as a
starting one.

If you have the original I think it will be better and easier for you to
make copies.
If not boxwood (covered with some oil so that the rubber compound will not
get stuck) or some sort of moulding plaster will be good I guess.
