You can disassemble your gas cap (the plastic part pops off the metal
portion with a firm pull).  Once apart it should be obvious what's wrong.
Maybe the lock cylinder needs to be lubricated or something, or maybe the
cap itself is somehow messed up.  You can buy a replacement cap from
The Parts Connection http://www.thepartsconnection.com, and if your lock
cylinder is undamaged, swap it into the new cap so you can use the same
key.
