We differ.  I found the Passat system intuitive and extremely easy to
use.  If it needs improvement at all, the WMB idea of linking the
chosen rate to road speed is a good idea.  Slower the slower you go,
very infrequent during pauses like traffic lights, and an instant
sweep if you make a fast control movement.
