Gearwrench tools

Well, lets see, for starters, they only need 5 degrees of "swing" to get
to the next "click", unlike most ratchets that need at least 30 degrees.

Second, the rachet/closed end is very small, not much larger than a
normal closed end wrench, unlike other racheting closed end wrenches,
which allows you to get them into much smaller places.

Third, because of being so small, and with the adaptor that comes with
it, you can use it as a "normal" rachet for your sockets, whereever
clearence is an issue. As Phil stated, there's one place on the
5cylinder where the only way he can get in there is with the GearWrench
and the socket adaptor, a regular rachet is just to big to fit.

Fourth, the propaganda enclosed with the set claims that they are
"surface drive", in other words it contacts the "flats" of the bolt head
rather than the corners. Less chance of stripping bolts. Now I can't say
whether this is indeed fact, as I haven't had the chance to use them,
but it sure sounds good.

Fifth, even though they are made in Taiwan, they have a life time
warranty. So far I've seen that Ace Hardware, Fleet Farm (Minnesota &
Wisconsin), and KD Tools sell them. It's not something you pick up at
the local dollar store. So....I don't think they will break the first
time you apply some force to them.
