Get one from the wrecking yard which shouldn't be more that $100.00. Does
your parts car have one in it you can use?

Near impossible to remove in one piece...most glass places don't want to
touch em
,junk dealer 's won't do it...about 95% failure rate...on my broken rear
window
I first vaccumed a zillion bits of glass...then carefully removed the chrome
trim(about $100 If you want to replace that)...then spent at least three hours
with a cold chisel removing the glass from the rubber seat, being extra
careful
to avoid the paint work...by the way being from the upper midwest, There's
quite at bit of windshield attrition, and I cant tell how many of these cars
I've seen with PPG wind screens, but when it says PPG there's always rust
around that window frame...no doubt the work of Monkey glass hacks, pissed
off and in a hurry to get that new screen in....the rear window is a
different Beast...all kinds of bells and whistles in that one ...Quattro
grid...built in antennas...PPG stays away from that one....dealer only...and
at near $400 a pop....you can see why
those glass hacks turn their nose up at that task....If you got a quote for
$500
I'd say GFI....But I'd watch em like a Hawk.....It'll be the hardest $100
they've
eared in along time...he'll turn his nose up @ the next guy that come s along
with a car with a 5 and a Q on it's badging.
