5 cyl interference

The really ironic thing is that turbo motors should be the last to
interfere, especially with 2 valves per cylinder.  Turbo motors usually have
less static compression than normal aspirated, which would mean the piston
is further away from the valves.

The Audi turbo pistons are deep dished to provide the lower compression
ratio, but the non-dished part sticks way the hell up in the combustion
chamber.  When the timing belt breaks the valves hit this part of the
piston.

Yes, with world class engineers and millions spent on R/D, one would think
the turbo motor would be a bit better designed.
