Failed Emission Test

A completely dead O2 sensor may log a trouble code, but one that is
sluggish or inaccurate won't.  For example, a sensor that reads low
will fool the ECU into thinking that the mixture is too lean, hence
the ECU will richen the mixture to compensate.  With the richer mixture,
you will have poor emissions.
