Home from the Peak!!!

All right, we all met in a parking lot in the town below Pike Peak, it was 
about 5:45 AM, we were all just standing around trying to wake up, and all of 
a sudden we hear sirens coming down the main road.  A few moments later we 
see a 4 cylinder Pontiac Grand Am (something you could likely rent from Avis) 
under full acceleration doing about 45mph...with two Police cars a few feet 
off the bumper.  Ironically, it looked to be a nice looking female, not a 
hardened criminal!

So this whole scene passes us, and turns right on the corner that we are at, 
she takes the corner, tires squealing, the auto tranny shifting around trying 
to find the perfect gear, and off she tore off doing about 30mph up the road 
right past us...kind of like one of those Fox chase scenes, but in slo-mo.

As the waning rays of dawn's light continued to intensify, we all just stood 
there wondering if that really happened!  Unfortunately, an ambulence was not 
more than 10 minutes behind them, so I wonder if the incident did not end 
with injury.
