4000 Quattro Exhaust/Cat. Help! Help needed!

Ditto here for my 80 4000 (except instead of gutting the cat, I removed it
and ran a stright through test pipe).  I noticed that without the cat,
the exhaust was depositing a yellowish, hard-to-clean film all over
tha rear bumper and nearby paintwork over a period of several weeks.
I put the cat back in, cleaned everything up, and no more film.  Hence,
the cat DOES help clean things up.  For the sake of the environment,
please don't run without your cat.  If you must reduce backpressure,
upgrade to one of the newer high-flow cats.
