Rear suspension for 200 Quattro Avant

Hi Mark - I have a wagon as well, a 91 200 20vt, and have researched this
issue in some depth. What I found was that the valving for the q wagon is a
bit different, read that as stiffer, for the higher rear biased weight
distribution when compared to the q sedan. I am currently running Boge Turbo
Gas spec'd for the 200 quattro sedan in the rear of the quattro wagon with
no problems. I should add that I have carried some substantial loads without
damaging those shocks. You cannot use the non quattro wagon shocks, they are
completely different from every angle. The quattro sedan shocks beat the
hell out of buying the Audi sourced parts at $285 each, which I believe are
the only alternative to Blau's $100 per side wagon shocks, although I'm not
sure whether or not Blau's are still available. If you are getting a bit of
banging back there, be sure to check the lower control arm bushings.
