Per, Since I've just been dealing with a sluggish engine as well and it
appears the problem with my car is the O2 sensor, I can suggest: have you
checked the O2 sensor? I started looking around (plug wires, possibly
fouled plugs?) basically the same thing as you. I found the Bentley
indicated the O2 sensor needs to be replaced every 60k (or 30k -- I can't
remember) miles regardless of condition. And I know I had never replaced
mine.

Does the check engine light come on? That's another thing folks on the
list reminded me to follow up on.

I can also thoroughly recommend getting a new exhaust system (AMHIK! &:-)
very pleasant recent experience) to boost power.
