The "steak knife" trick referred to slicing into the plastic plenum between
the A/C evap box and the heater core box to get access to the screw on the
bottom of the plenum that's one of three holding it to the heater core box
so you can get the plenum off to get the fan/motor out of the heater core
box. If you need a write-up on replacing the fan motor, I saved several
(including the steak knife thing) to a floppy and can e-mail one or all to you.
