Digging out old Coupes

How much difference is there between the '81 and the '82, I have an '82 and
an '81 parts car and I can find no real difference, I too have been thinking
of bringing my '82 out from the dead, it has low miles, no rust and still
runs, even after 5+ years in the shed.

You really should restore these cars, they are already collectibles.
Autozeitung
wrote earlier this year, in commemorating the 20 years of the GT, that Audi
were
interested in getting a nice 81 but they had no luck because there are
hardly any
81s left in Germany, or rest of Europe for that matter.
