pads/disks for 90

What options have people been successful with in terms of brake pads/disk
combos.  I am about to embark on this task for my wifes 90 fwd, and I
haven't done it before.  I have had good experience with the original
equipment stuff from Benz but the Audi is new to me.  I don't mind brake
dust if they grip, and I want to stay away from metallics that do the
typical VW squeel at every stop.
