1st sighting of the new a4 yesterday.  much much nicer in the flesh.
manages to look modern and more aggressive, without overdoing it.  liked it
very much.  i think that one of these cars will be in my future.

also saw my 1st rs4 other than in the showroom.  black.  it pulled up to the
railway station, the onlookers gawped, and a geeky looking guy gets out.
sigh...

i currently working for this guy who's the cio in a new (american) senior
management team put into to sort out a large business here.  very smart
35yo, who i like a lot.  anyway went out to dinner the other night.  took
the wagon.  "cool,", says he, "i've seen this in the car-park and thought it
must be yours.  i used to own a 90cs back home, but now have a bmw in nz".
went for a bit of a spin with him and the new "it" manager ("you own a
quattro, a real one?  cool - i've always wanted one of them!").  by these
guy's reaction to the rs2, and audi's, audi marketing seems to be having its
desired effect.
