Well, after I fixed my car by changing out the ignition module, life was
wonderful. The car was running terribly well, starting up perfectly on the
first turn of the engine, power was better than I ever remember it, a rose
garden was growing out of the dash... wait, that wasn't there. Anyhow,
I'm driving home from work yesterday, about 40 minutes into my drive home,
when I smelled burning resistors. I think the module is fried again. The
car is still running, and starting, but takes two tries now to start the
car, and it seems a little spt to stumble on occasion. Nothing huge, but I
think the thing has started to cook itself again. So, now I'll have to take
the glove box out again, and get the thing fixed. Now, I have to figure
out also what's causing the module to burn. I really hate tracking down
problems like this. It's why I became a mechanical engineer instead of an
electrical.....
It's a good thing that I'm attached to this car... If nothing else, due to
the $3000 or so of parts I've put into it in a year and a half...... : (
