200q20v Brake and Steering Failure

    When will mothers across America learn to listen to their sons?  Well
maybe this is just a malady in my house, but I have been telling me mother
for a few months that her car is going to fall apart if she doesn't get a
whole host of work done on it.  Of course she doesn't do this and while
driving in town today she lost her brakes and steering simultaneously,
according to her; must be a hydraulic problem.  The funny thing about that
is the hydraulic hoses were just replaced last month, funny how the only
system that has new parts in it fails.  She actually said there was no fluid
loss, which is a bit odd, and no warning lights.  Anyone have another idea?
