I still think you have a sticking parking brake. You must really crawl
under there an press the lever as far as it can go (there is a stop)
towards the outside of the car (i.e. opposite the pull of the cable
pull). To test the freedom of the wheel, you need to jack up the wheel
(brace it with stands) and then try to roll it. The drag will be apparent
then (compare to the cool side to be sure). It doesn't take much to get
real hot on an actual trip.
