The proper pressure is the pressure at which your tread temperature is 
uniform at the inner, center, and outer edge of the tire when the tire is at 
the temperature it will be when running on the track.

If you don't have a tire temp. device, I suggest applying a line of white 
shoe polish across the tread.  Drive the car as you would on the track, and 
see if the shoe polish is worn off evenly.  If it's wearing more on the 
edges, add more air.  If it's wearing in the middle, remove air.  Don't 
forget to refresh your shoe polish line after changing pressure.

For a competition tire, I've found perhaps an extra 1-2 pounds over car 
specs is about right for me when autocrossing.  For a street tire I usually 
run as much as 10# over the car's specs.

You won't find the tire inflation pressures on the tire rack or any other 
tire mfg. site because inflation pressure is dependent only on the weight 
each tire is supporting on car, not the tire you have.
