> I checked my timing on my JT turbo, and its a little too high 8° BTDC. I think this could be a big factor in my slight knocking problem. I was going to pull it back to 4° BTDC today and see how that works. I THOUGHT I knew how to do it.... I THOUGHT there was a 13mm bolt holding down the distributor. Instead I found that there is a metal plate with some type of rivet in it that is where Huw's site says the 13mm bolt is. Is this plate covering the bolt, or is it something they changed? Can anyone tell me how to loosen the distributor?

you can either cut the plate off to expose the bolt, or, according to
Phil Payne, take the time to try and unscrew the "rivet" - it does have
threads, similar to couple such "permanent" fasteners on the steering
column.
