I have a magazine article about a guy who's installed a US V8 (forgot which 
one) and RWD in his otherwise stock-looking 2CV. Nice surprise effect, 
being outdragged by a 2CV, stock-looking except for the oversized rear 
tyres (which are mostly hidden by the full rear fenders, naturally). Of 
course, the funny engine noise might give the game away, no mistaking a V8 
for a flat twin.
